DETROIT, Nov. 28, 2022 — Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work for the Detroit Pistons? Michigan kids ages 8-12 can now enter the fourth annual #MIKidsCan Detroit Pistons Kids Day Sweepstakes and win an opportunity to go behind the scenes of a Pistons game day. The sweepstakes, hosted by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the Detroit Pistons, offers kids an opportunity to get an in-depth look into various roles and responsibilities, and experience working with a staff member on game day. Twenty-five Michigan kids will be selected for Kids Day at the Jan. 8, 2023 Pistons game.
Parents can enter their children in the #MIKidsCan Pistons Kids Day Sweepstakes now through Dec. 23 at nba.com/pistons/pistons-kids-day. Each winner will receive a Kids Day t-shirt, participate in a pre-game event at Little Caesars Arena with lunch and a Hooper meet-and-greet, and receive four complimentary game tickets for their family. Various kids activities and giveaways will take place throughout the day and during the game.
“Blue Cross is proud to partner with the Detroit Pistons on this exciting opportunity for Michigan kids,” said Andrew Hetzel, vice president of Corporate Communications at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. “Our goal for the #MIKidsCan campaign is to engage children and families in unique ways to build healthy habits, like good nutrition and physical activity, into their daily lifestyles. We are excited to join the Detroit Pistons in giving 25 kids the chance to win this special experience in January.”
“We look forward to welcoming the 25 lucky winners of the #MIKidsCan Pistons Kids Day Sweepstakes for a behind-the-scenes look at a Detroit Pistons game day,” said Dan Lefton, Pistons Chief Revenue Officer. “This unique opportunity in partnership with Blue Cross will give these kids a chance to learn the ins and outs of our world-class game day production and experience a Pistons game like never before.”
