Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is hosting a town hall webinar at 3 p.m. July 23. The event will provide resources on loss and grief, depression, social connection, being a caregiver and how Blue Cross can help.
During this hour-long town hall, members can ask questions, respond to polling questions and hear stories from seniors dealing with these issues. Former Detroit Lions quarterback Eric Hipple will share his personal story of struggling with depression. The Town Hall will also include a panel discussion with nurses and healthcare specialists. You will learn the difference between grief and depression, as well as understand the importance of staying socially connected. Finally, we will discuss how being a caregiver can impact us both mentally and physically and what seniors can do to help with that. We will share free resources through Blue Cross and other options that can provide support for connection and caregiving.
This event will be engaging and interactive, and we hope you can join us. For additional information or questions related to this event, you can call the number on the back of your Member ID card.
