At Blue Care Network, we’re leading efforts to make health care more affordable, accessible and easy to use. We consistently strive to improve the quality and value of health care, and ultimately the health of our members. We put our members’ needs at the center of everything we do, focusing on personalized health care that impacts their whole health. And as we continuously adapt to the new and emerging needs of those we serve, we’re ready to help our customers meet the diverse health needs of their employees ― with coverage and options they can feel confident about, now and in the future.
We continue to add to our suite of digital tools so our customers can empower their employees to improve their well-being and focus on their whole health ― physical, mental and emotional. Last year, we accelerated our efforts to enhance our well-being solutions with a new digital platform that engages members in a more personalized experience to support their health goals. We’re excited to include our Blue Cross Well-Being base program with every BCN health plan this year, at no added cost, to help our customers strengthen the health of their employees.
We’re offering more solutions for customers to help their employees access affordable, convenient health care, when and where it’s needed most. Last year, we made 24/7 Virtual Care available to make it easier for members to get online access to licensed providers for urgent care and behavioral health services. We’re also helping members access prescription savings with programs such as Price Edge, a service that saved our BCN members $14 million in out-of-pocket costs last year alone. Price Edge is just one component of our ongoing efforts to help manage skyrocketing drug costs and is being offered to all BCN members at no cost.
We also enhanced some of our product offerings. We added a cost-effective health reimbursement arrangement option to our portfolio of flexible point-of-service plans. And we revitalized our Healthy Blue Living HMO with our new well-being services to help members lower out-of-pocket costs.
We want our members to feel supported along their health care journey and confident in their coverage and options. Our approach to personalized health care shows we’re moving our efforts in the right direction. We’ll remain steadfast as we continue to pursue innovations to improve the future of health care for our customers, members and the communities we serve.
