The 2025 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear has reintegrated into the fabric of downtown Detroit's vibrant culture since returning to the city three years ago.
In 2025, event attendees will have access to the popular Riverwalk while interactive displays games, food, music and more will be featured in Hart Plaza, along Jefferson Avenue and down Woodward Avenue to Campus Martius Park and Cadillac Square.
Here’s the racing schedule for the 35th annual Grand Prix along with ticket prices, parking and transportation information, packing tips and much more.

What are the dates of the Detroit Grand Prix?

This year's three-day, 35th annual festival of speed, sound and family-friendly fun runs from Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1.
There’s lots to do on Grand Prix weekend, but the focal point of it all happens on the track, where Scott Dixon came out victorious last year. The weekend lineup features the open-wheel stars of the NTT INDYCAR series, recognizable sports cars from worldwide manufacturers in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship and the up-and-coming open-wheel racers of INDY NXT by Firestone.
Practice and qualifying races fill up the Friday slate between 8 a.m. and 5:35 p.m. Saturday features INDY NXT, NTT INDYCAR series and IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship races, respectively, between 10:35 a.m. and 5:20 p.m.
Then on Sunday, after the 45-lap INDY NXT by Firestone Race at 10:30 a.m., it’s grand finale time. The green flag will fly on the exhilarating 100-lap Chevrolet INDYCAR Grand Prix at 12:45.
Competitors will jockey for position on a 9-turn, temporary street circuit along Jefferson Avenue, Bates Street, Atwater Street, St. Antoine, Franklin Street and Rivard Street. The race length is 170 miles. For those watching at home, the Grand Prix will be broadcasted live on FOX with radio coverage on INDYCAR Radio Network/SiriusXM INDYCAR National Channel 218. The race is expected to wrap up at around 3 p.m. Sunday.
An exclusive post-race show will air on the Peacock streaming service with driver interviews, post-race analysis, and the podium presentation.

  • A portable cell phone charger
  • A sunhat and sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher is recommended)
  • Your most comfortable walking/athletic shoes
Cell service may be spotty at times, so keep this track map handy and plan to meet friends and family at a certain location in case you get split up.
