At Blue Care Network, we strive to help our customers and members manage cost while delivering a dynamic portfolio of healthcare choices. As a nonprofit health maintenance organization, we consistently seek ways to maximize the quality and value of our products and services. We’re committed to partnering across the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan enterprise, leveraging our momentum in developing new, creative products ― launching transformation to shape a stronger healthcare system for the future and enhance the experience for every member.
We’re driven by our historic commitment to Michigan’s communities to support our members’ health. In 2025, BCN served more than 851,000 members and 38% of the Michigan HMO market. We continue to seek innovative solutions to deliver exceptional products and services to meet the diverse needs of our valued customers and members.
In 2025, we continued to enhance our HMO products and services to offer more affordable and convenient healthcare options. We expanded our PCP Focus network to include 31 counties across Michigan. PCP Focus lowers costs by offering high-quality managed care to members. We also introduced a health reimbursement arrangement option to our flexible point-of-service plan designs. And we added a specialty drug discount program for BCN members to help them receive manufacturer assistance for select high-cost, medical-benefit drugs.
We aim to improve health outcomes in Michigan and continue to earn high ratings in our HMO performance. We’re recognized as a 4-Star accredited health plan from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Our clinical quality measurement scores rank us as a top-rated health plan with 67% of our commercial measures performing in the 50th percentile or higher. And our 4.5-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services provides the assurance that members can indeed have high confidence when they choose our plans.
