Blue Cross CIO Bill Fandrich delivers an inspirational message during the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation's 2019 Winter Ball In its 11th year, the MCWT Winter Ball raised a record $564,610 for programs aimed at empowering and inspiring girls and women in technology – a core commitment shared by Blue Cross and its IT division. “As one of the largest employers of IT professionals in the state, Blue Cross understands the importance of a diverse workforce within which women are represented and supported in the industry,” said Bill Fandrich, Blue Cross Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. While attendees enjoyed an inspirational, lively evening with industry peers, Fandrich emphasized the importance of connection between Blue Cross and MCWT in nurturing the next generation of women IT leaders. “Our partnership with the Michigan Council of Women in Technology allows us to take part in the critical work being done to help empower females in technology and continue to address the disproportionately low rate of those entering the field every year.” Learn more about Blue Cross’ partnership with MCWT and our commitment to strengthening female representation in tech by visiting these MI Blues Perspectives blogs:
