New four-year labor contract ratified by UAW at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan

A new four-year Master Labor Agreement between Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the United Auto Workers was ratified by workers during voting on September 26-28. The agreement covers approximately 1,770 Blue Cross employees represented by the UAW and runs from Sept. 1, 2015, through Aug. 31, 2019. “We reached an agreement that provides competitive wages and benefits, while ensuring the company remains financially stable in the future and enables Blue Cross to provide quality products and services to our customers,” said Darrell Middleton, Blue Cross executive vice president, Operations and Business Performance. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is a nonprofit mutual company and independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
